Character Development

John – The urchin

John is a dog ( EDIT animal change from wolf to dog), from a poor village distant from the lands of Amor. Everyone in this village is friendly and hardworking. But because King Kali is greedy, the villagers have their food taken. John is not your average wolf, he has stealth skills from skilfully stealing fruits from food and merchandise. Giving food to those who are hungry in his village, John is a caring and warm wolf. John acquires a power of super strength when he eats the golden apple. He uses this power to save princess Alicyn from Evil Phelix.

Here is what i imagined John what would look like but more serious and less derpy. This dog breed is a shiba inu if you were wondering. 

Alicyn – Princess of Amor

Alicyn is the princess of Amor. She’s a luscious white cat who meets John in the markets. When they first encounter, she wears a brown cloak to conceal her royal identity.  She falls madly in love with John at first sight and tries to be with him. But she is forced to marry another. 

Kali – King of Amor

Father of Alicyn, Kali is the ruler of Amor. A cruel, selfish and harsh man who seeks only to be rich. Taking the belongings of the innocent just to make himself feel even more powerful. 

(NEW NAME) Terry – Evil Prince 

Phelix is the main baddie. He is a maleficent squirrel who wants to marry Alicyn for her possessions and power. He is a descendant of an evil witch, giving him power of a sorcerer. 

(NEW CHARACTER) Old man – Store owner

The owner of the luxurious store, is a kind, sweet and sympathetic old man. Having owned the magical apples that John stole, little did John know that the old man was a prestigious sorcerer. This man could tell the future with his mystical crystal ball and knew someone was going to steal his belongings. The old man could feel John’s innocence and let him steal it anyway. Knowing John would come back to him for his assistance, the old man helps him by giving John a sword with an immense amount of power to successfully defeat Prince Jerry. 

Enemies

Royal guards

Royal guards are the first enemy John must face in my game. They’ll have purple and gold capes, and be equipped with light weapons (e.g. dagger)

Barbarians/mercenaries

Mercenaries slaughtered and burned down John’s village. These baddies will be somewhat muscular and ugly. They will use anything as a weapon and are seriously dangerous. They won’t be difficult to beat and they will attack John if seen.

(NEW ENEMY) The monster in the woods

This enemy is introduced in level 4. This monster has a gem engraved into its forehead and has devastating horns that can do serious damage. John’s power can’t do the job so the only way to defeat it is to drop something big and heavy on it haha. 

Elite guards

Elite guards will be most difficult to defeat falling right under prince Jerry. They will be fully equipped with silver/gold armour and weapons.  They are skilful guards who will protect Jerry with their lives. To defeat these baddies, John must use magic to defeat them.
